Ramesh Pathak, with a brilliant academic
career, was selected for the most prestigious and
premier institute, National Defence Academy. He
was later commissioned in the Corps of Electrical
& Mechanical Engineers. He was a member of
Faculty of Management at Military College of EME,
Secunderabad for over nine years. He is one of the
founders of College of Defence Management. He has
twenty-four years meritorious service in the army.
He was awarded a Gold Medal in MBA.
Since
1983, he is the founder and Executive Director of
Innovative Consultants Combine. The consultancy is
engaged in Human Resource Development through
training. He is a trainer of international repute.
He was adjudged as the best resource person
consistently for several years, from a galaxy of
well known, world-class trainers, during
prestigious training programmes conducted for the
Canadian & Chinese Governments. He has been
retained by the World Bank to train 500 scientists
in Management of Research. He has been approached
by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for
Re-engineering projects.
His
areas of interest are Productivity Improvement
through development of an individual and Business
Process Re-engineering. He conducts exceptionally
effective workshops, which evoke excellent
participation on a variety of topics such as Total
Quality Management, Creative Problem Solving,
Kaizen and Just-in-Time philosophies, Quality
Circles, World Class Manufacturing, Manufacturing
Excellence, Effective Project Management, Value
Analysis, Time Management, Communication,
Presentation Skills, Thinking Skills for
Managerial Effectiveness and Behavioural Sciences.

Ramesh Pathak is a member of many professional
bodies such as Institution of Engineers, Computer
Society of India, Institution of Plant Engineers,
National HRD Network, Indian Institute of
Industrial Engineering, Indian Society for
Training and Development as well as British
Institute of Management. From 1992 to 1997, he was
the secretary of National HRD Network, Pune
Chapter. The chapter won the best chapter award in
1994.

Ramesh Pathak has been an editor of ` The
Electrical Mechanical Engineer ' - the Journal of
the Corps of Electrical & Mechanical
Engineers; ` CSI Communications ' - House Journal
of Computer Society of India. Currently he is a
consulting editor of ` Centalk ' - in-house
magazine of Centak Chemicals and ` News Snippets '
Pune Chapter newsletter of National HRD Network.
He has presented papers at the National Conference
of National HRD Network and other organisations.

Ramesh Pathak also scripts, directs and produces
video films on Training in Management. His video
films have been telecast in the UGC programme on
Doordarshan and are being used by several
trainers/consultants.

Ramesh Pathak is actively involved in bringing
peace in J & K. He, as member of the Board of
Governors of Pragati Foundation, organised in
August 2001 ` Indo-Pak People to People
dialogue’ . This was appreciated through a
letter by the Honourable Prime Minister of India,
Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee. Encouraged by this, `
All J & K People to People Dialogue ’ was
organised in Feb 2002. Both these were organised
at the Conference Centre of Moral Re-Armament (
now Initiatives of Change ), Panchgani.
